Orthodontics is always fascinating to Dr. John Kim. It motivates him and the staff to commit to continual education and learning, to give you the best possible service and results. He attends orthodontic lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being member of various professional dental associations helps him to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
Dr. John Kim received his undergraduate B.A. degree in Biochemistry from Occidental College, Los Angeles, in 1991. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery at UCLA School of Dentistry, then a post-doctoral Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master's degree in Oral Biology at Temple University School of Dentistry.
Dr. John Kim is an orthodontic specialist and member of the following prominent organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontist, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He is also an active member at Church of Southland where he is part of the many committees including the medical/dental mission teams serving the underserved people-groups around the world.
Dr. John Kim was born in South Korea, raised in Europe, grew up in Los Angeles, and presently resides in Yorba Linda/Placentia since 2002. He and his wife, Dr. Yisho Liu-Kim have two sons who have attended Yorba Linda Middle School, El Dorado High and Troy High School. Dr. John Kim loves playing football and basketball video games :) He also enjoys playing real basketball, volleyball, fishing and doing his own landscaping and fixing things around the house.
